As Bitaksi Mobil Teknoloji A.Ş. (“bitaksi”), we attach importance to the protection and confidentiality of the information of the users of the bitaksi mobile application (“User”).

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) aims to inform Users about how bitaksi uses the information it collects through the mobile application, the responsibilities of Users and bitaksi’s rules regarding the protection of information.

  1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

If you use the bitaksi mobile application, certain information is collected to enable you to be matched with bitaksi drivers and to ensure that your ride is performed.

Users provide their information to bitaksi when they wish to use the mobile application, submit their requests, suggestions and complaints to bitaksi, or for other reasons. In this case, certain information of Users such as name-surname, contact information, ride and payment information, and request, suggestion and complaint information is collected. Driver location data is collected whenever the application is open or running in the background for drivers. Location data is collected from the moment the passenger and driver are matched until the ride is completed.

  1. OUR PURPOSES OF USING INFORMATION

bbitaksi mainly uses the information it collects through the mobile application for the purposes set out below:

Providing services to Users through the mobile application,

Contacting Users and handling Users’ requests and complaints,

Carrying out finance and accounting processes relating to payments,

Promoting our services and carrying out advertising and campaign processes,

Improving/developing our products and services based on User feedback,

Customizing our services according to Users’ preferences, usage habits and areas of interest,

Identifying and resolving system issues in the mobile application and carrying out information security processes.

  1. TRANSFER OF YOUR INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

The information you provide through the mobile application may be transferred to third parties in order to achieve the purposes specified above (for example, your information may need to be shared with a service provider providing technical support services for the mobile application). In this context, your information may be shared with our business partners and suppliers from whom support is received within the scope of product/service procurement. In addition, when we are requested to share your information in order to fulfill our legal obligations, your information may also be shared with authorized persons, institutions and organizations. The information provided by Users will not be transferred to third parties except for the purposes specified in the texts presented to Users and where necessary for the provision of the service.

  1. STORAGE AND PROTECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

Your information is stored for the period required by the purpose for which we collect the information. If the legislation provides for a specific period for which we must retain your information, such period is complied with. bitaksi takes the necessary technical and administrative measures to protect the systems, servers and databases where your information is stored against data security threats (cyber-attack, hash, etc.).

The payment infrastructure is provided by MasterCard and BKM Express. bitaksi stores the first six digits and the last two digits of credit cards in its systems. In order to match the User’s existing MasterPass and BKM Express memberships and to enable the User to use the cards registered there as a payment method on bitaksi, a membership query is carried out through MasterPass and BKM Express using the mobile phone number registered in the application, and if the User has a membership, the User is informed and directed for the relevant card to be added.

The User accepts that all responsibility for the security, storage and confidentiality of the system access tools (username, password, etc.) used to benefit from the services offered by bitaksi through the mobile application belongs entirely to the User.

  1. ACCURACY AND CURRENCY OF YOUR INFORMATION

Users are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate and kept up to date. Your information must be provided to us accurately and must be updated if there is any change in your information. You may update the information you have shared with bitaksi at any time through the mobile application or by calling bitaksi customer services.

When you provide information to bitaksi on behalf of another person, you will be deemed to have represented and warranted that such information is accurate and that you have the right/authorization to share such information with bitaksi. The User accepts that if the User requests that certain information not be used by bitaksi, the User may not be able to benefit from certain services partially or entirely.

  1. REDIRECTIONS TO THIRD PARTIES

The bitaksi mobile application may contain links to third-party websites, platforms or services that are not operated by bitaksi. If you visit any of these links, you will be subject to the privacy policies and terms of use of the relevant third party. bitaksi is not responsible for the policies or practices of such third parties.

  1. CHANGES TO THE MOBILE APPLICATION AND THIS POLICY

bitaksi reserves the right to change, suspend the use of, or discontinue the services, information, visuals and other elements offered through the mobile application without prior notice. bitaksi reserves the right to make changes and updates to this Policy. It is the User’s responsibility to follow the current version of the Policy.

  1. LIABILITY

bitaksi is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages or expenses that may arise as a result of any error, interruption, delay, virus, network and/or system failure that may occur during the use of the mobile application.
