Introduction
This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) has been prepared by Bitaksi Mobil Teknoloji A.Ş. (“bitaksi”), acting as the data controller, in accordance with the obligations under Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law numbered 6698 (“PDPL”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform.
As bitaksi, we use cookies (“Cookie”) on our website located at www.bitaksi.com (“Website” or “Site”).
This Cookie Policy aims to inform you about the processing of your personal data through cookies, the purposes for which cookies are used, and the management of cookie preferences in accordance with the PDPL, secondary legislation, the Guide on Cookie Applications published by the Personal Data Protection Authority, and the decisions of the Personal Data Protection Board.
Visitors can view the types of cookies through the Cookie Preferences panel on our Site and can always change their preferences for cookies other than Strictly Necessary Cookies using this panel.
What is a Cookie??
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) when you visit a website. Cookies primarily allow the recognition of the user and their device, the storage of certain information regarding the user's preferences and past transactions, and thus the improvement of the user's online visit experience.
Cookies often have a unique identifier number (unique identifier or cookie ID). This identifier number allows your browser to be recognized and inferences to be made about you based on your movements and transactions on websites.
Personal data is obtained through cookies via automated methods (without human intervention). Cookies are sent through the communication established between the browser you use and the servers of the websites.
What are the Types of Cookies??
Cookies are generally subject to different classifications based on the provider, the duration of use, and the purpose of use.
Cookies by Provider Party are classified under two groups:
First-Party Cookies: These are cookies placed directly by the website the user is visiting, in other words, by the URL displayed in the address bar of the browser. Personal data processed through first-party cookies is obtained directly by the data controller managing the website.
Third-Party Cookies: These are cookies placed by a third party other than the website the user is visiting.
Cookies by Duration of Use are classified under two groups:
Session Cookies (session – non-persistent): These are stored only for the duration of the user's visit to the website. When the user leaves the website, the cookies expire and are automatically deleted.
Persistent Cookies (persistent): These are stored in the browser for specific periods. Storage periods for persistent cookies vary depending on the purpose of use. These cookies are automatically deleted after the predetermined periods expire. If the user changes cookie settings before the period expires, these cookies can also be deleted earlier.
Cookies by Purpose of Use are gathered under four fundamental purposes
Strictly Necessary (Mandatory) Cookies: These are mandatory for websites to function properly. They enable different features of websites and are used out of necessity to fulfill an information society service requested by the user (such as logging in, filling out forms, remembering privacy preferences). If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, some parts of the website will not work. These cookies are not used for marketing purposes in any way.
Functional Cookies: These are used for personalization and remembering preferences. They are used to provide functionalities other than mandatory cookies. They improve the users' experience on websites and add functionality, such as saving filter settings or the preferred language.
Performance-Analytical Cookies: These allow statistical measurements to be made to analyze user movements on websites. Accordingly, they enable the development of websites and services. Information such as device data, most clicked pages, or pages where the most time is spent is obtained through these cookies.
Advertising/Marketing Cookies: These track users' online movements to identify personal interests and help carry out advertising/marketing activities related to these interests. For example, they are used to identify interests, conduct personalized marketing, and prevent showing ads that do not interest the user. They are also used to avoid over-showing the same ads and to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
What Personal Data is Obtained Through Cookies?
Through cookies, data regarding user transaction records are collected and processed, including browser and operating system used, IP address, user ID, date and time of visit, interaction status (e.g., whether you could access the Site or received an error), use of features on the Site, search terms entered, frequency of visits and language preferences, page scrolling movements, and information regarding accessed tabs.
